OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2025, sales of refurbished laptops on the M networkVideos" soared by 71 percent in physical terms and by 38 percent in monetary terms. Vedomosti writes about this with reference to a representative of the company.
We are talking about used devices that are in working order, which have had their batteries replaced, software updated, and flashed. Avito has a similar trend, although sales growth in physical terms is lower — 11 percent.
Sergey Vilyanov, an analyst at the Fintech Lab accelerator, pointed out that this sales format already accounts for 15-20 percent of the market, which means 500-600 thousand devices per year.
However, he adds, there is still a lack of trust in second-hand equipment. Experts attribute the growing trend to the fact that new technology is becoming too expensive for Russians, and used laptops are much cheaper. Apple, Huawei and Honor laptops are in the highest demand among consumers.
At the same time, sales of new devices are falling, although in this case estimates are complicated by the growth of unofficial imports of equipment and the departure of part of the segment to the gray zone.
According to Vilyanov, the technical specifications of laptops from previous years are enough for most users. Often, devices older than five years are in no way inferior to new ones, but they will cost much less.
Earlier it was reported that retail sales of desktop personal computers in Russia in 2025 fell by 25-30 percent in both physical and monetary terms.
