OREANDA-NEWS  In August, Russia returned to fourth place among the main buyers of chocolate from the European Union, increasing supplies by a third to the maximum since the end of last year, RIA Novosti calculated according to Eurostat.

So, in August of this year, the EU exported chocolate and products made from it to the Russian Federation for 40.1 million euros, the maximum since November 2025 (46.2 million euros). Compared to July and last August, the volume of shipments increased by 32%.

Among the buyers of chocolate from the European Union, Russia again took the fourth place. In July of this year, it was fifth, in June it was fourth, and a year ago it was also fifth. In addition, the top 5 importers in August included the United Kingdom (244.5 million euros), the United States (117.1 million), Canada (46.2 million) and Switzerland (almost 32 million).
