An MTS representative said that iPhone sales in units on the network fell by 45% in 2022. The sales director of Megafon, David Borzilov, said that iPhone sales in pieces in the operator's salons decreased by 22%. The representative of Citylink estimated the decline in sales of Apple smartphones in pieces at 19%. He noted that the most popular model of the brand was the iPhone 11, which in 2022 did not even get into the top thirty most purchased smartphones.

Alexey Zaitsev, head of Ozon Telecom, clarified that Apple remained in the top 3 brands in terms of unit sales in 2022. And at Wildberries, iPhone smartphones dropped out of the top five most popular brands, said a representative of this marketplace. Now Xiaomi smartphones are sold on the site more than others (about 23% of the total turnover), followed by Samsung (14%), Realme (12%), Poco (12%) and Tecno (5%). In general, in 2022, buyers more often made a choice in favor of practical models at affordable prices, spending on average about 14,700 rubles on the purchase of a smartphone, which is 9% less than in 2021.
