OREANDA-NEWS   By the end of 2025, the total production of red caviar in Russia increased by more than a third compared to the indicator for 2024. Ilya Shestakov, head of Rosrybolovstvo, announced a sharp increase in the production of the popular delicacy in the country, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

During the reporting period, Russia produced a total of 14-15 thousand tons of red caviar, he said. The annual growth rate was 35 percent. The output will be enough to meet the demand in the domestic market, Shestakov concluded.

Earlier, he said that Russia is not in danger of a shortage of red caviar. The range of delicacies on the shelves of Russian stores, Shestakov noted, is quite wide.

Despite this, the average cost of red caviar in the regions continues to be high. In November 2025, the figure was 9,365 rubles per kilogram. The highest prices were recorded in the Murmansk region, the lowest in Udmurtia.
