OREANDA-NEWS The information about AvtoVAZ's refusal to manufacture Lada Aura is not true. The suspension of production of business sedans was denied to the Izvestia newspaper by the company's press service.

Earlier on Tuesday, September 23, the Mash Telegram channel reported that the carmaker refused to release the specified model back in July 2025. The reason was the low demand for business sedans - AvtoVAZ sold only 792 cars in eight months. Of these, 53 percent ended up in private hands, and 47 percent were acquired by legal entities or corporate clients.

Mash also reported that car owners complained about problems with electronics, brake system defects, faulty CVT and missing climate control, which raised questions about the cost of cars, and demand gradually began to decline.

The company stressed that the news about the completion of the Lada Aura is false.

According to AvtoVAZ, the car is almost completely assembled from Russian components. Lada Aura engines are manufactured at the Tolyatti plant, LED optics are supplied from Dimitrovgrad, leather for interior seats from Ryazan, wheels from Kirov, and Itelma Holding is responsible for electronics. In June, the company presented a variation of the sedan for taxi driving.
