OREANDA-NEWS  Russian tourists are stuck in Cuba due to the delay of the Rossiya Airlines flight for a day. This was told to RBC in the press service of the domestic carrier.

According to the source, the plane was supposed to take off from the resort town of Varadero to Moscow on March 4 at 19:25 local time (March 5 at 3:25 Moscow time). But due to technical reasons, the flight had to be postponed.

Representatives of the airline clarified that tourists will be transported to the capital on a reserve aircraft. Passengers waiting for the flight were accommodated at the hotel, they were provided with food and drinks. According to the Telegram channel Shot, about four hundred Russians are stuck abroad.

At the end of February, hundreds of Russian tourists were stranded in Mauritius due to Cyclone Garance approaching from Madagascar. In total, 700 compatriots could not fly out of the resort country.
