According to the committee, this agreement is the first for Kazakhstan, which provides for the principles of "open skies" in accordance with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on further liberalization of air transport. As noted, this provides great opportunities for carriers planning to fly between Kazakhstan and the United States. Under this principle, parties can fly without restrictions on the number of carriers, destinations and frequencies, including those with a “fifth degree” of air freedom.
