OREANDA-NEWS  The locomotive derailed at Taksimo station in Buryatia during shunting operations, there were no casualties, according to the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"According to preliminary data, today at about 7:25 a.m. local time (02.25 Moscow time) in the park of the Taksimo station of the East Siberian Railway in the Republic of Buryatia, during shunting operations, a locomotive with five wheel sets derailed, overturning was not allowed. There were no casualties as a result of the incident. The amount of damage is being determined," the report says.

A pre-investigation check is being conducted on the grounds of a crime under the article "Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport."
