OREANDA-NEWS  Serial production of Sollers SF7 light commercial vehicles has started in Tatarstan on the territory of the Alabuga SEZ, the press service of the head of the republic reports.

"The first serial copies rolled off the assembly line in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Adil Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Sollers," the statement said.

The new Sollers SF7 family of vehicles includes all-metal vans with a gross weight of 5.5 tons with a body volume of 16.4 m3 and passenger buses with a capacity of up to 22 people. The production of the new model is organized using full-cycle technology with welding and body painting.

Minnikhanov noted that in a difficult period for the company, despite the departure of a foreign partner, it was possible to maintain the plant's staff, which currently employs 985 highly qualified specialists, as well as to start production of cars under its own brand "Sollers". Since 2022, more than 30 thousand cars of five models of various classes have been produced.

According to the head of the republic, Sollers in Tatarstan is a modern high-tech full-cycle enterprise, one of the leading manufacturers of the Russian automotive industry. The model being launched today is the largest vehicle in the Sollers line of light commercial vehicles, which is manufactured using full-cycle technology. It is a universal solution for both urban and intercity transportation.

The Sollers SF7 is equipped with Russian-made units: a 2.7-liter diesel engine with 150 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission. The production of components was previously established at Sollers enterprises in Yelabuga and the Volga region with the support of the Industrial Development Fund. Multi-stage quality control is in effect at all stages of production.
