OREANDA-NEWS  Kicksharing services Yandex Go, Whoosh and MTS Yrent have already issued almost 27,000 fines and blocked 190,000 users since the beginning of the rental season - the number of fines has increased fourfold compared to the same period in 2024, the companies said in a joint statement.

"Since the beginning of the season, the largest kicksharing companies MTS Yrent, Whoosh and Yandex Go have issued 26,640 fines and blocked 190,000 users in Russia. This is 4 times more than in the same period last year. The companies explain this by increasing demand for sharing SIM cards, increasing the accuracy of tracking violations, as well as strengthening cooperation with cities in tracking trips," the report said.

Services block users primarily for transferring control of electric scooters to children and teenagers - this accounted for about a third of the total number of blockages since the beginning of the season. "The services detect children's trips both through support requests with photo and video evidence, and through their own technical solutions: data from mobile operators, banking services, integration with Mos ID," the message added.

They also recalled that last summer, kicksharing services launched a chatbot into which any citizen can report violations involving rental electric scooters. In addition, the services have improved their chatbots: during peak periods of activity, the Whoosh and MTS Yuret support services process up to 2,000 requests.

The number of scouts and security consultants who work directly on the streets of cities and transmit data on violators to kicksharing support services increased by 40% in 2025.
"Companies are working closely with cities to identify violators. We are talking about integration with urban video surveillance systems (Moscow, Sirius), joint raids with law enforcement agencies, and the transmission of data on trips on kicksharing scooters. In addition, since this year, enlarged numbers have appeared on all kicksharing scooters - they help identify violations by using city cameras or contacting the support service," the kicksharing services noted.
