OREANDA-NEWS The median cost of new cars in 2024 dropped to 1.4 million rubles, while used cars, on the contrary, increased slightly to 1.1 million, SberAuto told RIA Novosti.

"The median check for the purchase of a used car in 2024 is 1.1 million rubles (in 2023 - 1.07 million rubles), a new one is 1.44 million rubles (in 2023 - 1.5 million rubles)," the study says.

The median price is a value that divides the distribution of the cost of goods in the sample into two equal parts: one half of the prices is lower than this value, and the other half is higher.

The highest receipt for new cars was expected in Moscow - almost 1.95 million rubles, while a year earlier it was slightly higher - 2.1 million rubles. But in the Moscow region, on the contrary, the figure increased to 1.9 million rubles from 1.4 million. St. Petersburg closes the top three, where the cost of the car was 1.63 million rubles against 1.52 million in 2023.

Among the regions with the highest median price for new cars, the receipt increased only in the Chelyabinsk Region to 1.3 million rubles from 990 thousand a year earlier. In the rest, it decreased: by 19% in the Sverdlovsk Region and Bashkiria (1.7 million rubles each), by 18% in the Krasnodar Territory (1.4 million rubles), by 13% in the Tyumen Region (2 million rubles), by 11% in Samara (1.1 million rubles) and Rostov (1.8 million rubles) regions. In Tatarstan, it remained unchanged and amounted to 1.7 million rubles.

Used cars were most expensive to sell in Moscow and the region - 1.25 million and 1.24 million rubles, respectively. At the same time, the cost increased by 13% and 24%, respectively. The figure is slightly lower in the Tyumen Region, where the median price increased by 20% to 1.2 million rubles. The cost of a supported car is 1.1 million rubles each in St. Petersburg (+5% per year), Krasnodar Territory (-8%), Tatarstan (unchanged). About 1 million people live in Sverdlovsk (+5%), Rostov (-9%), Chelyabinsk (-17%) and Samara (7%) regions, as well as in Bashkiria (-10%).
