The profit of the car giant that left Russia has collapsed to a record

OREANDA-NEWS The German carmaker Mercedes-Benz, which has stopped official sales in the Russian market, summed up the financial results of 2025. The company's net profit has almost doubled (by 49 percent) compared to 2024, from 10.4 billion to 5.3 billion euros, TASS reports.
Sales revenue for the reporting period decreased by 9 percent and amounted to 132.2 billion euros. The operating profit indicator, calculated before taxes and interest on loans were deducted, fell by a significant 57 percent (to 5.82 billion).
The total sales of passenger cars and minibuses of the brand over the past year amounted to 2.16 million units. The largest decline in demand was recorded in China — by 19 percent at once.
The company itself cited the introduction of protective duties, unfavorable exchange rate dynamics, and increased competition with manufacturers from China as the main reasons for the decline in revenue.
Earlier it became known about the imminent appearance on the Russian market of the updated Haval H3 off-road crossover. The changes affected not only the car, but also its prices.
