OREANDA-NEWS  Thirty-nine tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan were injured in a bus accident in Egypt's South Sinai province, the provincial administration said in a statement obtained by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, an Egyptian medical source told RIA Novosti that forty-three people, including 39 tourists, were injured in an accident with a bus carrying Russians.

"A tourist bus carrying 44 people overturned on the highway.… As a result of the incident, a Russian tourist was killed and 42 people were injured, including 39 foreigners – citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan," the South Sinai administration said, adding that three Egyptians were among the injured.

According to an Egyptian medical source, the 14 injured, who were initially admitted to Abu Rudays Hospital, were transferred to a number of other hospitals in South Sinai.
