OREANDA-NEWS The painting "The Opening of the Crimean Bridge", which depicts Russian President Vladimir Putin, was presented at the exhibition "Lavender Sea" by artist Oleg Putnin at the Russian Academy of Arts on Tuesday, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

"One of the most important events in modern history is the reunification of Crimea with Russia. For a long time it was believed that the construction of such a bridge as the Crimean One was impossible in principle, but nevertheless the bridge was built, and its opening was attended by Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin - ed.). The picture shows how the president is moving towards the West - something that we see, including in politics. The moment is captured when the head of state arrived on the Crimean Peninsula and decided to take an unplanned walk. Everyone else followed him," Putnin told RIA Novosti.
