OREANDA-NEWS  The swearing-in ceremony for the new supreme leader of Iran, who became the son of Ali Khamenei Mojtaba, will take place on March 9. This is reported by the Fars news agency.

According to the agency, the celebrations will begin at 15:00 local time (14:30 Moscow time) in Engeliab Square in the center of Tehran.

Earlier, Iran announced the name of the new supreme leader of the country — his son Mojtaba became the successor of Ali Khamenei.

In addition, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially sworn allegiance to the new leader. He expressed his willingness to "fully obey and selflessly carry out the divine instructions" of the new rahbar.
