OREANDA-NEWS China should open the market for European exports. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called on Beijing to take such steps. He was quoted by Euractiv.

The head of the government of a European country complained that the current trade relations between the European Union (EU) and China have become "unstable" amid widespread concerns among EU officials about the influx of Chinese imports into the bloc. According to Sanchez, it is necessary for China to open up so that Europe does not have to close.

In addition, the Prime minister called on Beijing to reconsider its approach to the European Union, the world's largest trading bloc. Sanchez noted that although Europe may seem small on the maps, its economy is crucial, and its unity is a guarantee of stability and prosperity in a world that cannot be understood without China.

Prior to that, Sanchez called on China to use its influence more actively to end armed conflicts in various regions of the world.
