OREANDA-NEWS An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded in the US state of California, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

According to the service, the earthquake occurred at 8.49 a.m. Moscow time, 14 kilometers from the city of Susanville in California, its source lay at a depth of 4.7 kilometers.

There was no information about possible casualties or damage.
