Changan to recall 1,9 thousand UNI-V liftbacks in Russia for software Russification

OREANDA-NEWS The Russian division of the Chinese automaker Changan (Chang'an Motors Rus LLC) recalls 1,905 thousand Changan UNI-V liftbacks to solve problems with Russification of interfaces and voice commands, according to Rosstandart.
Cars sold from September 2023 to the end of April this year are being recalled.
"All vehicles will be updated with software," Rosstandart notes, adding that the interface is currently not implemented in Russian on the recalled vehicles.
Authorized representatives of Chang'an Motors Rus LLC will notify the owners of the recalled vehicles by letter or by phone of the need to arrive at the nearest dealership for work. The assembly of the Changan UNI-V liftback has recently been localized at the facilities of Kaliningrad-based Avtotor, which has become the main Russian manufacturing partner of this Chinese automaker. Previously, the model was supplied to Russia from China.
