Cuba is named the second target of the United States

OREANDA-NEWS The change of the political regime in the Republic of Cuba is implied by the administration of US President Donald Trump as the second goal after the overthrow of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. This scenario was suggested in an article for The Foreign Policy magazine by William Leogrande, a professor of public administration at the American University, a specialist in Latin America and former director of the National Security Archive at George Washington University.
"By building up military power against Venezuela, the United States is also eyeing Cuba," the expert wrote.
According to Leogrande, the United States hopes that the cessation of oil supplies to Cubans from Venezuela will lead to the collapse of the socialist republic. The professor considers an attack on Venezuela inevitable in the current situation, since "10 warships and 10,000 [United States] troops have already been deployed in the Caribbean Sea."
Earlier, retired Admiral of the US Navy Jim Stavridis suggested that the United States could attack Venezuela with attacks on port infrastructure and airports, since Trump considers them transshipment points for drug sales.
