OREANDA-NEWS The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is "politically uncertain" because she has not made a decision on Russia's frozen assets. This statement was made by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, RIA Novosti reports.

"In fact, we don't need 27 member states. It is enough for there to be an overwhelming majority, and these guarantees will be given to Belgium. So it's more a question of political uncertainty on the part of Ursula von der Leyen," Tsakhna said.

He commented on the words of Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever that the country needs specific and reliable guarantees from EU countries to use Russia's assets for a loan to Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the Belgian members of the European Parliament considered insulting the words of the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kai Kallas about the seizure of frozen assets of the Russian Federation to finance Ukraine.
