OREANDA-NEWS. In the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, a powerful explosion occurred outside the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital. After the explosion, shots were heard. This is reported by local media.

As an eyewitness of the events told Russian media RIA Novosti, an explosive device at the entrance to the hospital for 400 beds was triggered by a suicide bomber. According to the agency interlocutor, the hospital is located near the Ministry of Public Health.

According to Aamaj News, the accomplices of the terrorist entered the hospital, which is the largest military medical institution in the country. It is noted that a firefight is being conducted inside.

On October 18, it became known that an explosion occurred in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan. As a result, two people were injured and hospitalized. The incident occurred in the Kabul-Hada quarter. An improvised explosive device went off on a busy street at a time when a vehicle belonging to the Taliban militants who seized power in Afghanistan (banned in the Russian Federation) was passing there.
