OREANDA-NEWS Europe has become an old fat cat. This opinion was expressed by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna in an interview with Newsweek.

This is how he reacted to the fact that NATO countries in Europe have begun to invest more in the defense industry, which, according to him, US President Donald Trump has focused on. Tsakhkna noted that countries should not ignore investments in their military potential.

"I have said many times that Europe has been behaving like an old fat cat for years and decades," Tsakhkna said.

Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal said that Estonia was ready to send troops to Ukraine as part of the deployment of a Western armed contingent in the country. According to him, in order to deploy the Western contingent on the territory of Ukraine, it is necessary to conclude a "concrete" peace agreement.
