OREANDA-NEWS  Preferential family mortgages for the purchase of ready-made apartments should be extended to large families throughout Russia, and they should be allowed to purchase "secondary housing" in all regions, regardless of the size of the city. Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, called for this in an interview with TASS.

"I propose to allow preferential family mortgages for secondary housing for large families, regardless of the city, taking into account the large price difference between the secondary market and new buildings," the agency's interlocutor said. In his opinion, this will allow Russian families to make more efficient use of their mother's capital and finances in general, which are limited for large families.

The state program of preferential family mortgages was introduced in 2018, and its validity was extended until 2030. At the moment, a mortgage at six percent will be issued for the purchase of housing in a new building, a house with a plot of land, as well as for the construction of a house. In localities where the pace of new construction remains low, it is possible to purchase an apartment on the "secondary market".

Families with a child under the age of 6 years inclusive can participate in this program. In addition, the purchase of housing on preferential terms is available for families with a disabled child and families with two or more minor children living in cities with a population of up to 50,000 people or in one of the 35 regions where there are no population restrictions.

Earlier, Ruslan Syrtsov, managing director of the Metrium company, predicted a rise in the price of ready-made apartments due to the spread of family mortgages on them.
