Turkish TV channel CNN Turk reported on January 16 that Karaata, who is wanted by the Turkish authorities under the "red bulletin", is hiding in Canada under a different name and avoiding registration with the security authorities. According to Canadian registries, he was registered under the name Salih Ada as a practicing psychotherapist who has the right to independent professional activity since September 2022, RIA Novosti found out. The agency also identified Karaata as living and working in Ontario at medical and counseling facilities in the cities of Waterloo and Kitchener.
