OREANDA-NEWS Indonesia is discussing oil purchases with Russia, Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the republic, told RIA Novosti.

"At the moment, we are discussing this with our partners in Russia, we still need to study the proposal and the situation.… We do not rule out working with any partner country," the minister told the agency on the sidelines of the event in Jakarta.

Earlier, the US Treasury authorized the purchase of Russian oil and derivative products loaded onto ships as of March 12. The measure is valid until 08:01 on April 11. The lifting of sanctions will affect one hundred million barrels, said Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
