OREANDA-NEWS Inflation expectations of Russians may remain high in the near future under the influence of certain factors, said the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina.

"We understand that inflation expectations in the coming months, unfortunately, may remain high under the influence of changes in VAT, recycling, and rising gasoline prices," she said at an expanded meeting in the State Duma.

According to the FOM study conducted by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Russians' inflation expectations for the year ahead remained at 12.6% in October.
