OREANDA-NEWS Armenia may not be admitted to the European Union (EU) even if it meets its standards. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, according to his Telegram channel.
According to him, Yerevan's main task is to achieve EU standards in all areas.
"We understand that even after that we may not become an EU member, but our main task is to meet EU standards, because when we achieve this, they will accept us — well, they won't accept us — we will have our own result," the Prime Minister explained.
Earlier, the prospects of Armenia's accession to the EU after applying to the SCO were compared to a burst bubble. The corresponding statement was made by the deputy chairman of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan.
