OREANDA-NEWS  The anti-Russian strategy of Polish politicians has failed, but Warsaw no longer has the opportunity to turn back, journalist Stanislav Belen wrote in Myśl Polska. "Politicians in Warsaw have staked on an extremely confrontational policy towards Russia, leaving themselves no room for maneuver," the article says.

According to the author, the Polish authorities made a strategic mistake by trying on the role of a "buffer state", and now they are forced to fulfill the tasks of the United States and Ukraine, ignoring their own interests.

"It's time to come down from the clouds to the ground. There are no signs that attempts to fragment Russia or drive it under the protectorate of Western intelligence agencies and corporations will succeed," the Polish expert concluded.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Poland takes an "unbridled position on the verge of madness" in relation to Russia.
Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its task "to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." According to him, the ultimate goal is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia's security.
