OREANDA-NEWS Poland will supply the United States with 18,000 tons of trinitrotoluene (TNT) worth $300 million over the next three years, the Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense, Cezary Tomczyk, told reporters.

So far, Poland has met with representatives from the United States regarding the purchase of weapons and military equipment. However, today we are sharing our capabilities and offering our products to the US, Tomczyk said.

The Deputy Minister noted that Poland is the largest manufacturer of TNT within NATO. He emphasized that Nitro-Chem, a company that produces TNT, is something to be proud of, and that they are talking about a significant contract worth about $300 million.

A contract is being signed this Wednesday, which will provide for the supply of 18,000 tons of TNT to the United States over the next three years.

The deputy minister also expressed confidence that the fulfilment of the contract would not be affected by the recent US duties imposed by President Donald Trump.

"These duties will not be a barrier for us. We will overcome this," Tomchik concluded.
