OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree prohibiting the export of refined gold bars weighing more than 100 grams from the Russian Federation from May 1, with a number of exceptions. The document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
"To establish, from May 1, 2026, a ban on the export from the Russian Federation by individuals, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of refined gold bars with a total weight of more than 100 grams," the document says.
The exceptions are cases when refined gold bullion is exported to the EAEU countries through air checkpoints across the border of the Russian Federation at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports, as well as at Knevichi airport (Vladivostok), subject to a permit from the Federal Assay Chamber.
