OREANDA-NEWS  The fortune of Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo has reached $ 1.4 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Thus, Ronaldo became the first billionaire player in the history of football.

This status is associated with a major contract that the 40-year-old footballer signed with the Saudi club Al-Nasr. The agreement includes salaries, bonuses, and exclusive rights.

A significant contribution to Ronaldo's capital came from the income from his collaboration with major brands. Commercial projects make up part of the income: for example, the hotel business, CR7 brand clothing.

Ronaldo extended his contract with the Al-Nasr club this summer. Prior to that, he played for Sporting Portugal, Manchester United in England, Real Madrid in Spain, and Juventus in Italy, becoming a multiple winner of national and international club tournaments.

As a member of the Portuguese national team, Ronaldo won the European Championship and twice the UEFA Nations League. The Portuguese is a five–time winner of the Golden Ball.
