OREANDA-NEWS  The technologies that Russia has at its disposal today ensure its long-term strategic competitiveness among other nuclear powers, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Today, Russia has such technologies for the use of atomic energy that provide our country with long-term strategic competitiveness among other member countries of the nuclear club," Putin said in a video message on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Rosatom.

He added that some of the achievements of the state corporation "have a truly breakthrough character," which allows Russia to "be among the world leaders in nuclear energy" and ensure technological independence in a number of important areas.
