OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian State Duma established a commission to investigate interference of foreign states in the internal affairs of Russia. This is stated in the material of Lenta.ru.

It is noted that the main tasks of the created commission will be studying and analyzing the facts and circumstances of interference of other countries in internal affairs of Russia, preparation of proposals on adoption of legislative measures to counteract such interference and initiatives to inform parliaments of foreign states, international public organizations and mass media about the relevant facts.

The commission will operate for a term not exceeding the authority of the current convocation of the State Duma. Vasily Piskarev, head of the Security and Anti-Corruption Committee, was chosen to chair it.

Earlier, on March 23, Andrei Lugovoi, first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Security and Counteraction to Corruption, said that he would propose to the lower house of parliament to develop a unified law on foreign agents.
