OREANDA-NEWS UN Secretary General António Guterres said that it is impossible to solve the food crisis without agricultural products from Russia and Ukraine. Guterres told a news conference about it, reports TASS.

According to him, the UN representatives are negotiating on the export of grain from Ukraine as well as food and fertilizers from Russia.

Earlier, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said the country was ready to provide letters of guarantee to exporting companies and insurers for the supply of grain from Russia.

Previously, it was reported that the European Union and Turkey will work together to unblock for the export of 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain. French President Emmanuel Macron said this on the margins of the EU Extraordinary Summit in Brussels.

The French president positively assessed the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Erdogan in the context of unblocking grain exports from the Ukrainian side.
