OREANDA-NEWS The government has issued a negative response to a bill which establishes penalties for dangerous driving. Despite this, the authors of the initiative plan to submit the document to the State Duma, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", citing the chairman of the Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs.

According to the bill, the mandatory condition for bringing the driver to responsibility is the evidence of the violation in the form of video recordings. Videorecording the violation contradicts the article of the Administrative Code, which establishes equality between all the collected evidence, said in the review. The government refers to the 26th chapter of the Administrative Offences Code (no evidence can have a predetermined force).

The bill proposes to supplement the CAO with Article 12.18.1 "Intentional dangerous (aggressive) driving, causing a threatening accident or endangering the safety of other road users". The article provides for a fine of Br5 thousand. Repeat violation could be fined from 5 thousand to 10 thousand rubles, or deprivation of driving license for up to 1 year.
