OREANDA-NEWS   The Ukrainian operator Ukrenergo will no longer be able to rely on emergency electricity supplies from Slovakia. This was stated by the head of the Slovak state-owned company SEPS Martin Magat. He was quoted by Pravda.

According to him, the relevant decision was made by the Slovak government.

The last time Ukraine received emergency supplies was in January. She has since requested them again, but has not received them. According to Magat, the usual commercial electricity trade between the two countries will continue unchanged.

"We categorically reject the idea that we are going to stop supplying electricity to Ukraine altogether," said the head of SEPS.

It is noted that the initiative to terminate the contract was made by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, and the government approved it at a meeting held on March 4.
