OREANDA-NEWS  Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, commented on the increase in fuel prices in Europe. He wrote about this on the social network X.

Dmitriev ironically suggested that Europeans abandon air travel and car trips.

"This month, the EU will achieve most of its green goals and begin to achieve the carbon neutrality it has been striving for. Stay at home, don't fly. Walk, don't drive," he urged.

Earlier it became known that major airports in Italy — Milan, Venice, Bologna and Treviso — imposed temporary restrictions on refueling commercial flights. The advantage will be given to sanitary and state flights, as well as aircraft following routes lasting more than three hours.
