OREANDA-NEWS  A tanker with diesel fuel for the United States will leave the port in the near future, Vladimir Putin said.

The first tanker will leave in two or three days, 40,000 tons, and they will go one by one," the president said at a meeting with the American leader's envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg.

Putin also noted that thanks to this deal, diesel prices on world markets fell by 5-6%.

The day before, Witkoff took part in the negotiations in Oslo. The meeting was attended by Vladimir Zelensky, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere and Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The American leader's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, joined the conversation remotely.

Following the consultations, Stubb announced progress and the development of some elements in the field of security and economics, which the special envoy plans to present to the Russian leadership.

On October 9, the Presidents of Russia and the United States reached an agreement on the supply of diesel fuel to the world market.
After that, the head of the White House expressed dissatisfaction with Zelensky's unwillingness to reach peace agreements and his unwillingness to stop attacks on Russian refineries. He said that Ukraine needs a new leader who can come to an agreement with Moscow.
