OREANDA-NEWS   The expulsion of Russian rapper Navai (Navai Bakirov) from Kazakhstan is not a reason for an automatic ban on entry to Moldova, where the artist's concerts are scheduled, but additional checks in Chisinau are possible, Ivan Mironov, chairman of the Moscow Bar Association Mironov and Partners, told RIA Novosti.

Rapper Navai was detained on October 13 at the entrance to Kazakhstan at the Kordai border checkpoint by police officers together with the Kazakh border service. When checking the car in which he was traveling, a narcotic drug was found and seized. The Kazakh police announced on October 20 that the criminal case against Navai had been terminated and he had been expelled from Kazakhstan. Later, the artist's defense informed the agency that he was in Moscow and would try to give concerts, including the one scheduled for December in Chisinau.

"As for the concert in Chisinau, the Kazakh expulsion is not a reason for an automatic ban on entry to Moldova. Additional checks at the border are possible, but independent legal grounds are needed to refuse entry," Mironov said, answering the agency's question whether Navai, who was detained in Kazakhstan on suspicion of drug trafficking, could face problems while crossing the republic's border.

He stressed that the restrictions for the artist should be determined by legal decisions.

Ticket sales for the Russian rapper's concert in Chisinau, postponed from October 16 to December 8, were previously resumed. The ticket price remained the same - from $ 28 (almost 2,300 rubles) for the fan zone to $ 1,350 for VIP seats, which is about 111 thousand rubles.
Bakirov was born in Samara. His collaboration with HammAli brought him popularity: together they created the duo HammAli & Navai, which released such hits as "Birdie", "War Girl" and "Let Me on the Dance Floor".
