OREANDA-NEWS  Igor Kastyukevich, a Russian senator from the Kherson region, said that the Western curators of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky would not allow him to come to a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. His words are quoted by TASS.

Kastyukevich explained that Zelensky would not be allowed into Moscow so that he "would not mess up."

"And the root cause of the crisis lies partly in him, because it was he who was brought to power through a military coup. I think that a meeting at the highest level will be possible, but a lot of preliminary work is needed for this," the politician said.

Earlier, Zelensky declined Putin's invitation to hold talks on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Moscow. "I can't go to Moscow when my country is being shelled by rockets every day," he explained.
