OREANDA-NEWS   Major South Korean concerns — Hyundai Motor Group, LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics — are not yet considering a full-fledged return to the Russian market due to the ongoing sanctions restrictions. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Georgy Zinoviev, in an interview with TASS.

According to the diplomat, we are not talking about the resumption of the work of the Russian assembly plants of these companies, nor about the full-fledged return of their brands to the country. "Due to the ongoing sanctions restrictions in the Republic of Kazakhstan... We are not talking about it yet," Zinoviev stressed.

Earlier it was reported that Nissan still has the option of buying out a car assembly plant in St. Petersburg. It will be possible to exercise the relevant right until 2028. The company associates a full-fledged return to the Russian market primarily with the lifting of Western sanctions. Currently, there are no significant prerequisites for this, experts agree.
