OREANDA-NEWS  Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that his country plans to allocate 615 million euros for further assistance to Kiev, the EFE news agency reported on Tuesday.

It is planned that the bulk of these funds will be used to provide military assistance. In particular, Madrid will spend 100 million euros on the urgent purchase of weapons from the United States for the needs of Ukraine. In addition, 202 million euros will be allocated by Madrid for the reconstruction of areas affected by the fighting in the country.

Sanchez on Tuesday held a meeting in Spain with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who, as previously reported by the media, intends to visit Turkey on Wednesday to try to intensify negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement. In Spain, according to Western media reports, Zelensky confirmed that he was aiming to try to find a solution to the crisis.
