OREANDA-NEWS  The US Army has secretly acquired Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) long-range missiles for half a billion dollars. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the documents.

According to reports, a batch of missiles was ordered by the US Army in March 2026. Taking into account the contract improvements, the amount of financing reached about $ 539 million, and another $9.8 million was added to previously concluded agreements for the production of these missiles.

At the same time, the new order, as well as the subsequent increase in costs, did not appear in the Pentagon's summary of major contracts. This is due to the fact that PrSM purchases were carried out under a separate multi-year contract with Lockheed Martin.

Previously, the US Army selected five companies to create the PrSM Increment 4 missile, which can be launched from the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and hit moving sea and land targets at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers. The development was entrusted to the companies Anduril, Castelion, Lockheed Martin, Mach Industries and RTX.
