OREANDA-NEWS Rockets were launched at Israel from the territory of Lebanon, Al-Mayadeen TV channel reports.
"Three rockets were fired from Lebanon towards occupied Palestine (Israel. — Editor's note)," the message says.

Since the beginning of the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement and the Israeli army have exchanged isolated strikes on border territories, avoiding, however, a large-scale escalation. Nevertheless, the Israeli authorities do not rule out the deterioration of the situation to the north and have sent detachments of reservists there.

As Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov said yesterday, the incidents on the Lebanese-Israeli border do not mean Hezbollah's entry into a military confrontation, the parties observe the usual "rules of the game". Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, for his part, said that the United States does not see any concentration of forces of the Lebanese movement in the border.

On the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. After a massive shelling, Hamas fighters penetrated into the border areas in the south of the Jewish state.

The military wing of Hamas announced the operation "Flood of Al-Aqsa". In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the launch of Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip. Within a few days after the attack, the Israeli military took control of all settlements near the Gaza border and began launching airstrikes on targets, including civilians, in the sector. In addition, Israel has announced a complete blockade of Gaza: the supply of water, food, electricity, medicines and fuel has been suspended.
