Trump accused Europe of spending money on Russia instead of Ukraine

OREANDA-NEWS US President Donald Trump has accused Europe of a two-faced policy towards Ukraine. He stated this in his social network Truth Social.
"Europe has spent more money on buying Russian oil and gas than on defending Ukraine," he wrote.
From the beginning of 2021 to the end of 2024, the total volume of pipeline gas supplies from Russia to the European Union (EU) decreased by 61 percent. At the same time, the cost of purchasing Russian pipeline gas for the EU countries decreased by only 9 percent over the above period.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced his desire for a quick agreement on Ukraine. He recalled that Europe had sent $138 billion to help the country.
