OREANDA-NEWS  The diesel deal with Russia is the right choice for the American people. This is how US President Donald Trump spoke about the decision.

Earlier it became known that the United States had withdrawn Russian diesel fuel from sanctions. Prior to that, Trump announced an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on large-scale diesel supplies to the United States.

On his page on the Truth Social social network, the head of state explained the decision to conclude agreements with Russia on the supply of diesel fuel.

"The European Union has paid Russia $250 billion for energy supplies, but the lying media don't even want to get close to this story. I made the right choice for Americans," Trump said.

According to marine analyst Michel Wiese Bockman, the first batch of Russian diesel fuel has left for the United States. "Well, that was fast. Windward is already tracking what looks like the first Russian shipment of diesel fuel bound for the east coast of the United States, with an expected arrival in 48-72 hours," he wrote.
