OREANDA-NEWS Serbian President Alexander Vucic said that the country's authorities had contacted the Russian special services about the death of Radomir Kurtic, a representative of the Serbian defense state company Yugoimport-SDPR. His words are quoted by Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS).
According to Serbian media, Kurtic died on the street in Moscow on November 17.
"We are waiting for a response from the Russian special services. (...) I hope that we will receive it soon. We are talking about our citizen, an exemplary citizen and a man who has worked for many years in a good Serbian company," the Serbian president said.
Vucic stressed that he still does not have enough information to speculate about the circumstances of Kurtic's death, and urged him to wait for the release of new details. According to him, the Serbian side has not yet received the results of the forensic medical examination from Russia.
Earlier, Vucic said that in the event of a conflict between Europe and Russia, Serbia would remain on its own side. According to him, the world is now on the verge of a major conflict, and the goal of the Serbian authorities is to preserve peace and develop their country's economy.
