OREANDA-NEWS  In the early days of the fighting in Ukraine, several attempts were allegedly made to physically eliminate employees of the administration of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, and against himself. The Ukrainian leader spoke about the attempts at the beginning of the conflict in an interview, a fragment of which was published in the Telegram edition.

"There were people who wanted to kill, there were shots fired, and some people died in the president's Office. There were our people who defended us," Zelensky said.

He added that in order to conclude a peace agreement, the Ukrainian authorities were under pressure from both civil society inside the country and foreign partners in those days, but Zelensky refused to sign the agreement, considering its terms unacceptable.

Earlier, Zelensky said that Kiev hopes to exchange territories for lands occupied by the Russian Armed Forces. He did not specify which regions he was referring to.
