OREANDA-NEWS  The American representatives have not yet requested an agreman for the new ambassador to Russia. This was announced by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, TASS reports.

"The United States has not requested an agreman, and there is still no clarity on this issue," the diplomat said.

Ryabkov also stressed that the Russian side would "put the squeeze on" Washington on the issue of the return of diplomatic property located in the United States. According to him, there is a lack of "sufficient and constructive response" from the American side on this issue.

Earlier, Ryabkov said that there are "sanctions attempts" in the United States, but for Russia, threats of new sanctions have become commonplace. The Deputy Foreign Minister added that the policy of the current American authorities is contradictory, but Moscow wants to normalize relations between the countries.
