OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2011. Ingosstrakh paid 178,028.37 rubles to the tourist suffered from the suspension of the activities of Luzhniki Travel Company LLC.

The trip must have taken place in the middle of August, but due to the fact that the tour operator did not perform the assumed obligations, Ingosstrakh compensated the suf-ferer his actual expenses incurred to buy the tour.

We will remind that Luzhniki Travel announced of the suspension of its obligations towards the tourists on this August, 9. The company's civil liability for failure to perform or improper performance of its obligations under the contract for tourist product sales is insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company for 30,000,000 rubles. According to the Law "On the Basis of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation" and the Insurance Rules, the insurer pays indemnities to the tourists for failure to perform or improper performance of obligations under the contract for tourist product sales occurring within the term of the in-surance contract.

So far, Ingosstrakh has registered 59 applications from the suffered tourists with the total damage amounting to 8,304,980.82 rubles. In the shortest time, it is planned to make payments to another fifteen tourists for the total amount of 1,593,910.43 rubles in addition to the paid claim for 178,028.37 rubles.

Currently, (the time after the expiry of 30 calendar days from the receipt of the first claim) the amount of claims declared by the sufferers has not exceeded the insurance amount under the tour operator' liability insurance contract (30 million rubles), Ingosstrakh intends to make insurance payments in the full amount of claims made.

Payments of the insurance indemnity in accordance with the insurance terms will be made to each of the suffered tourists upon the date their tour commences, as this very moment determines the date Luzhniki Travel Company LLC accrues the obligation to in-demnify the damage.
